    Try some easy growing herbs to start like basil and chives. You can buy established plants at the local home improvement store like Lowes or Home Depot. Make sure you have them in a very sunny window, and provide plenty of water. You want the soil slightly damp but not soggy or standing water. You can buy a jug of “fish emulsion” fertilizer and water every other week with it to help them along as well.

    no tomatoes for windowsill gardening, they get too big and they need a support thing so it will cover your view out of the window.
